2014 NEPEAN TROPHY

On Friday 10th October 40 Central Coast selected players together with officials and supporters travelled to Windsor Bowling Club to contest the Nepean Trophy against the Nepean District.   It was a very early start for those who reside in the northern parts of our district but everyone was in a very jovial mood as we headed towards our destination.     We were welcomed by Club President Kay who then handed over the proceedings to Nepean District President Katie who in turn welcomed Central Coast President Pat, officials and players.   After a very welcome morning tea it was on to the greens to commence the friendly rivalry between the two Districts.   Central Coast having won this event in 2013, were keen to retain the trophy.

Conditions were ideal and play commenced.  21 ends were to be completed and the overall combined score would determine the winners for this year.     Although our Central Coast players tried their hardest, the Nepean players were just too good on the day.

Results were:     Nepean  203 shots  Central Coast 159.

Rink wins:         Nepean  7     Central Coast 3

Congratulations to Nepean and also our Central Coast ladies who did us proud.

CC President Pat presented the Trophy to Nepean President Katie and invited them to the Central Coast next year to once again contest this event.
