2015 CHALLENGE CUP
On Monday 14th September The Entrance Bowling Club hosted the annual Challenge Cup. This is a club selected event, 4 players from each club who played in Grade 4 or equivalent this year. The event was first played in 1997 introduced by the then District President Thelma Hutchison.
Entries were received from 22 clubs. The District and players were welcomed to The Entrance by club President Margaret Oliver who then handed over proceedings to District President Di Elsom. After morning tea the conditions of play were read out and it was on to the green. Two games, 1 of 13 ends and 1 of 12 ends were to be played. It was a lovely sunny day with just a slight breeze.
At the completion of the two games a light luncheon was served and then the results were announced. The winner was determined by: wins, ends and if necessary score.
Winner: HALEKULANI 2 wins, 21 ends + 30 shots

Runner up: BATEAU BAY 2 wins, 15 ends + 16 shots

The day was then concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
