2015 LAKES TROPHY
On Friday 9th October 28 selected players and Central Coast Committee members travelled to Kahibah to contest the Lakes Trophy. This is an annual event held between Lake Macquarie and Central Coast Districts. The day was perfect weather wise and after morning tea it was on to the green to play 21 ends. It was great to see the number of supporters who travelled up to cheer on our ladies.
The winner is determined by the total aggregate score of the 7 rinks. Our ladies played lovely bowls but it just wasn't enough on the day to win back the trophy. Lake Macquarie won with 148 shots to Central Coast's 126 shots. We won on 3 of the 7 rinks. Congratulations to Lake Macquarie.
Central Coast President Di presented the trophy to Lake Macquarie President Jan and said we looked forward to hosting the event in our District next year.
