2015 ROSE BOWL

The 2015 Rose Bowl was played on Friday 13th November at Ettalong Bowling Club.   This annual event between Central Coast and Newcastle District involves 28 selected players from each district.    In the absence of Central Coast President Dianne,  V.P. Norma welcomed Newcastle President Gail and her players and wished all good bowling.    As the players were late getting onto the green it was decided to reduce the number of ends from 21 to 18.

Some great bowls were played with only 1 or 2 shots difference on some rinks.   However at the end of the match the overall total of 126 shots to Newcastle to 107 shots to Central Coast meant that Newcastle District retained the trophy for another 12 months.   Congratulations to them and also well done to our ladies who played some lovely bowls.     We look forward to travelling to Newcastle District next year for this annual event and to renew friendships.

V.P. Norma thanked Ettalong President Lauren and her hard working committee for their hospitality and wished all a safe trip home.
