2016 Pennant Post Sectional Results
The 2016 Pennant Winners were decided over two days, Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 12th May, at Ettalong Memorial Bowling Club. Grades 3 and 4 played both days with Grade 2 winners decided on Wednesday. Grade 1 had already been decided as they had one section only.
The weather was sunny although windy conditions challenged the bowlers, particularly on the first day. It was great to see the many spectators supporting their clubs. Avoca Beach, Bateau Bay, Canton Beach, Davistown RSL, Everglades, Gosford City and Norah Head.
It came down to Wednesday morning's game to decide the winners. What great bowls were witnessed with close scores separating the winners from the runners up. Congratulations to all who participated.
At the completion of the event the Winners, Runners up and all players marched onto the green to the music "Simply the Best". District President Dianne congratulated all and then presented the Flags and Badges to the Winners. What an exciting time for these ladies.
