2018 PENNANTS
The 2018 Pennant playoffs were held at Ettalong Bowling Club on 17,18,19 April. The first day saw Grade 4 commence their round robin play. On the Wednesday Grade 3 sides arrived to start their round robin and on the final day Grade 2 played their straight out final. We certainly seen great bowling from the players with some matches coming down to the very last end to determine the winners. Congratulations to all section winners and to the eventual winners and runners up. Thanks also to all who helped out throughout the 3 days. The weather was mostly kind, with just a bit of rain and cold weather on the Tuesday afternoon. Our thanks to the Ettalong ladies who looked after everyone very well.
Grade One:
They weren't involved in the post-sectional play as there was only one section in this grade.
WINNERS: ETTALONG MEMORIAL. RUNNERS UP: TERRIGAL
Grade Two:
This was a straight out final as there were only 2 sections in this grade
WINNER: HALEKULANI RUNNERS UP: EVERGLADES.
What a close match this was. It literally came down to the last bowl. Well done to all these ladies.
Grade Three:
Section winners: Avoca Beach, Gosford City, Munmorah Utd.
WINNER: MUNMORAH UTD. RUNNERS UP: AVOCA BEACH
Grade Four:
Section winners: Breakers, Diggers at The Entrance, Wyong RSL, Bateau Bay(1), Bateau Bay(2)
WINNER: DIGGERS at THE ENTRANCE RUNNERS UP: BREAKERS
The winners now go on to play in the State Regional Playoffs against Lake Macquarie on Sunday 29th April at Charlestown Bowling Club. We wish them all good bowling.
