2018 OPEN and SENIOR PAIRS

 

The 2018 Open and Senior Pairs were held throughout the Central Coast from Monday 14th to Thursday 17th May.    Monday was a cold, very windy day which made playing conditions difficult.   However on Tuesday and Thursday it was lovely autumn weather.  

OPEN PAIRS

26 teams entered the Open Pairs which were played at Avoca Beach, Breakers and Wyong Clubs.

Results:

Semi-finals held at Breakers Tuesday p.m.

Dianne Fernance, Anastasia(Tess) Koutsellis (Terrigal)  def.   Kaye Arnott, Sandra Anderson (Gosford City)

Dianne Brown, Connie Goddard (Gwandalan) def. Kerry Malligan, Robyn Deane (Halekulani)

In a very closely fought Final at Wyong on Thursday afternoon the results were:

Dianne and Tess (Terrigal) def. Dianne and Connie (Gwandalan).  

Well done to all these players and congratulations to the Winners.

 

SENIOR PAIRS

 

43 teams entered the Senior Pairs which were held at Bateau Bay, Munmorah Utd, Davistown RSL and Wyong Clubs.

Results:

Semi-Finals  held at Wyong on Thursday a.m.

Dianne Fernance, Pamela Colbran (Terrigal) def. Carol Edwards, Elaine Vincent (Everglades)

Patricia Neal, Lesley Swales (Umina Beach) def. Dorothy Brook, Eileen Fitzgerald (Wyong)

The Final was played in the afternoon with the results being:

Pat and Lesley def. Julia and Pam

Congratulations to the Winners and well done to all these players.

Throughout all the semi's and finals great bowling was witnessed by the spectators.   As was the case throughout the week.     Congratulations to all who took part and thank you to the clubs who provided green space for these events to be held.

The next step for the Open and Senior Winners will be against Lake Macquarie District in the Region 6 playoffs.  These will be played on Sunday 15th July and if necessary Monday 16th July at Ettalong Mem. Bowling Club. We wish them good bowling.
