2018 Nepean Trophy
Central Coast District travelled on Monday 27th August to St.Marys RSL Bowling Club to play against Nepean District for the Nepean Trophy. This event is held annually between our two Districts with the venue alternating each year regardless of who wins. This year it was Nepean's turn to host the event. We were welcomed by Nepean District President Jackie and after a delicious morning tea, which was most welcome after a very early start, it was on to the green. It was a very cold, miserable day weather wise. One of the coldest days so far this winter. Although it had been raining over the weekend and earlier in the morning luckily we managed to complete the match without any rain.
28 selected players in teams of 4, are chosen from each District. 18 ends were played. The winners were decided on the total number of aggregate shots. Central Coast ladies played extremely well and came out winners with a total of 142 to Nepean's 100. Well done ladies. We had 5 rink wins and 2 rink draws.
Central Coast President Jenny accepted the trophy from Nepean President Jackie and said we looked forward to hosting the event next year and defending the title.
