2018 ROSE BOWL

On Friday 9th November Central Coast District travelled to Soldiers Point to play against Newcastle District for the Rose Bowl.   This event is held annually between the two districts.  It was a very early start, particularly for those coming from the Peninsula area.  We were welcomed by Newcastle President Loretta and after a very welcome morning tea it was on to the green.

Seven teams of four (28 selected players) from each district played.   The winning district was decided by total aggregate scores.    Play was on the undercover synthetic green.

The last time Central Coast won the Rose Bowl was in 2012 and even though our players tried their hardest Newcastle once again took out the trophy 173 to 104.   Congratulations to Newcastle and well done to our ladies from Central Coast.
