2018 CC Branch Women's Past Presidents

Representatives of the Central Coast branch of the Women's Past Presidents Association travelled to Gosford Hospital on Thursday 6th December to present a cheque to the hospital auxiliary.   Throughout the year the Past President's and members from clubs throughout the Central Coast raise money at 3 events.   Each year a cheque is presented to one of the hospital auxiliaries.   This year it was Gosford Hospitals turn.  Normally the cheque would be presented at the PP Christmas bowls day but unfortunately this date clashed with a thank you day to volunteers at Gosford Hospital.

Hence PP Secretary Lesley and Treasurer Narelle arranged to go to Gosford Hospital on Thursday 6th December,  the day that the Hospital Auxilliary have their stall.  They were made most welcome and what an amazing array of goodies, particularly Christmas fare, was on display.

Central Coast Women's Past Presidents were delighted to  present a cheque for  $3000.00 to  Vice-President Cheryl and Secretary Jean from the Hospital Auxiliary.  Thanks also to Treasurer Brenda who organized the presentation.     The money will go towards the cost of badly needed equipment.   The auxiliary had just ordered 4 items towards which our money will go.

  • Vascular Doppler for IPU K9   $1,622. Used to diagnose and treat blood clots and poor circulation
  • Doppler for Outpatients  $2,160.    Hand held scanner to look for blocked arteries in the neck, arms and leg.
  • Airvo Humidifier for Surgical Short Stay   $2,238.    This delivers warmed and humidified respiratory gasses to spontaneously breathing patients.
  • Vital Signs Monitor for Transit Lounge  $5,233.    Used to measure body temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate and blood pressure.

The volunteers certainly do a wonderful job.   Our thanks also to our own ladies who attend our functions and help raise fund.
