2013 GRADE 1 FLAG UNFURLING
Tuesday 4th June was Terrigal's special day when their Grade 1 Pennant Flag was unfurled. President Pam Ison welcomed District President Pat Frewin, District Secretary Dianne Elsom, Region 6 Representative Lesley Swales, Everglades Runners up and her own Terrigal ladies.
After morning tea Terrigal members formed a guard of honour on the green and then the winning Grade 1 side was lead out by Dist.Pres.Pat and Terrigal Pres.Pam. Runners up Everglades were lead out by Region 6 Rep.Lesley and Dist.Sec.Dianne. Dist.Pres.Pat then raised their flag to a round of clapping and cheering. The winning Grade 1 players were presented with their badges, certificates and photos[taken on the day they won the flag]. Runners up Everglades received their certificates and photos.
A fun game of bowls was then enjoyed. This was followed by a lovely salad luncheon.
Congratulations to all players, both Terrigal and Everglades on their achievements. Terrigal now go on to play at the Region 6 playoffs against Lake Macquarie's Windale Gateshead side. This will be played at Ettalong Bowling Club on Tuesday 11th June. The games are due to commence at 9.30 a.m.
