2013 SENIOR FOURS
2013 SENIOR FOURS
The Senior Fours commenced on Monday 21st January at Everglades and Halekulani. 35 teams played in this event for the over 60's. Some great bowls were witnessed at the various venues. Tuesday 22nd saw 16 teams through to play at Avoca Beach in the morning. The winners then went on to play the quarter finals in the afternoon.
The semi-finals were played at Bateau Bay on Thursday morning. The results were:
Rhonda Taylor,Judith Spano, Judith Bambury, Daphne Streher [Bateau Bay] defeated Margaret Johnson, Judith Marshall-McManus,Kay Miller, Narelle Collinson [Halekulani].
Jan Hopley, Jeanette Taylor, Marie Brailey, Pamela Donnelly [Ettalong Mem] defeated Patricia Neal, Susan Clark, Leila Gilmour, Dawn Burrows [Umina Beach]
Both these games were very close with only a few points the difference. The final was played in the afternoon between Daphne Streher's and Pamela Donnelly's teams. Some great bowls were played but Daphne's team came out the winners. Congratulations to them. They will now go on to the Regional Playoffs to be held on 6th August in the Lake Macquarie District.
