2012 Lakes Trophy
The 2012 Lakes Trophy, an event run each year between Central Coast and Lake Macquarie Districts, was played at Wyong Bowling Club on Friday 26th October. District President Pat welcomed Lake Macquarie President Fay and her ladies as well as our own Central Coast players. After morning tea it was on to the green to play.
7 teams of 4 players [total 28 from each district] each played 21 ends. The weather was pleasant, not too hot, a little overcast.
Central Coast had not won this trophy since 2008 so there was great excitement when at the end of play we had won. The total aggregate shots were 154 Central Coast, 127 Lake Macquarie. Central Coast won 5 out of the 7 rinks. Congratulations to our players. Also congratulations to Lake Macquarie on a great effort.
Lunch was served at the end of play. Random Prize winners were chosen by lot, tombola and raffle prizes were drawn. Then Lake Macquarie President Fay presented the trophy to Central Coast President Pat. All in all a great day was had by all. Wyong President Barbara and her ladies were thanked for their hospitality.
Next years event will be held in Lake Macquarie District.
