2012 Past President's Christmas Party
The Women's Past President's Association of the Central Coast held their Christmas Bowls Day on Monday November 26th at Ettalong Bowling Club. Ettalong President Kris Osborne welcomed P.P. President Narelle Richardson and members. President Narelle thanked all for coming and wished them a happy day. She also welcomed two new members to the Central Coast Past President's Association and presented them with their badges. Gwen Jarratt [Umina Beach] and Ruth Wheeler [Diggers at the Entrance].
After morning tea it was on to the greens for a fun game of bowls. However before bowls commenced a 'spider' was held on green one. All ladies received a small gift no matter where their bowl landed, however 3 ladies won the major spider prizes. Closest to the spider was Sheena Graham from Avoca Beach, 2nd was Jessica Tyler from Gosford City and 3rd closest was Judy Cameron from Wamberal. Well done.
Luncheon was served and enjoyed by all. The tombola and raffle prizes were drawn. 12 lucky prize winners, drawn at random, were presented with a gift.
It was then on to the serious part of the day. At the three events held throughout the year money raised is donated to the hospital auxilliaries on the Central Coast. This is done on a rotation basis and Gosford Hospital Auxilliary was the recipient this year. President Narelle was delighted to present a cheque for $1500.00 to Cathie Greenwood the representative from this auxilliary. Cathy thanked the association and said the money would be put towards much needed equipment for the hospital. She will let us know what is purchased.
This brought to an end a most enjoyable day. President Narelle thanked all for their support throughout the year. She also thanked Ettalong President Kris and her ladies for their help on the day.
