2013 Umpires Xmas Party
Central Coast Umpires gathered at Gosford City Bowling Club on Monday 2nd December for their Christmas get together. Leader of the Umpires Discussion Group Leanne Perigo welcomed District President Pat Frewin and Secretary Dianne Elsom, as well as all the umpires. Also present was State Chairman of Umpires Lesley Swales who was asked to give an outline of the Umpires new re-accreditation process which will commence from 1st January 2014.
After morning tea we went out to play turnaround triples. We had previously drawn for starting positions. 5 ends were played in each position. A lot of laughter could be heard as all enjoyed the game, even though the weather was a little warm.
The Gosford City Social Ladies had prepared a lovely salad lunch with delicious sweets afterwards. Leanne thanked the ladies and presented each with a gift. Raffle prizes were drawn as well as lucky door prizes. Every one present got a gift.
District President Pat and Chairman of the Umpires Sub-committee Val Allen, cut the Christmas Cake.
Leanne thanked President Judy for the use of their club and wished all a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and a safe trip home.
