2014 REGION 6 PENNANT PLAY-OFFS

Friday 13th June was the date - Wangi Wangi in Lake Macquarie District was the venue - the event: Region 6 Pennant Play-offs between Central Coast and Lake Macquarie Districts.

Lake Macquarie President Fay welcomed all and wished everyone good bowling. Huge crowds were in attendance supporting their clubs. It was great to see the support given to our Central Coast players from Avoca Beach, Bateau Bay and Munmorah United. There was much clapping and cheering throughout the morning and I am sure the players appreciated it.

Great bowls were played by all grades on both sides with the lead changing many times over. The games were close but there can only be one winner in each grade. The results were:

GRADE ONE: CHARLESTOWN defeated AVOCA BEACH

GRADE TWO: CHARLESTOWN defeated MUNMORAH UNITED

GRADE THREE: WARNER'S BAY defeated MUNMORAH UNITED

GRADE FOUR: BATEAU BAY defeated DORA CREEK WORKERS

Congratulations to the winners and well done to the runners up. The winning clubs will now advance to the State Pennant Play-offs to be held in the Port Stephens District from the 25th to 29th August. We wish them all well.
