2014 REGION 6 CHAMPIONSHIPS
Monday 4th August was the date of the Region 6 Championship play-offs held at Halekulani Bowling Club between Central Coast and Lake Macquarie Districts.
The Singles, Triples, Open and Senior Fours were played in the morning and as one of the players was also in the pairs they had to be played in the afternoon.
Results were:
Singles: Rosemary Wayland [Charlestown-Lake Macquarie] defeated Karen Croker [Avoca Beach-Central Coast]
Pairs: Rhonda Littlewood, Valentine Fullick [Charlestown-Lake Macquarie] defeated Alma Schofield, Denise Ellison [The Entrance-Central Coast]
Triples: Rhonda Littlewood, Lynette Gilsema-substitute for Gayle Gannon, HalinaWuro [Charlestown- Lake Macquarie] defeated Dianne Dillon-substitute for Ann Middleton, Lauren Williams, Tracy Ward. [Ettalong Mem.-Central Coast]
Open Fours: Lynn Genders, Sandra Mason, Lorraine Dixon, Shirley Cooke [Belmont-Lake Macquarie] defeated Beverley Angus, Marion Young, Sheena Black, Pamela Donnelly [Ettalong Mem.-Lake Macquarie]
Senior Fours: Julia Silvia, Anastasia Koutsellis, Pamela Colbran, Gwen Hardwick [Terrigal-Central Coast] defeated Gaye Brown, Margaret West, Barbara Hunter, Maureen Simpson [Belmont-Lake Macquarie]
The winners now go on to play in the State play-offs at Tuncurry BC commencing 25th October. We wish them good bowling.
