2015 NEPEAN TROPHY

Everglades Bowling Club was the venue for the annual match between Central Coast and Nepean Districts. Friday 11th September was a lovely sunny, warm day.   Club President Sue O'Connor welcomed all to their club and handed proceedings over to Central Coast District President Di Elsom.   She in turn welcomed Nepean District President Kate Koutsoukos and her ladies and our own Central Coast players.   All were wished an enjoyable game played in friendship.

After morning tea it was on to the green for the 10 teams of 4 [40 players] from each district. 21 ends per rink with the result being determined by the overall aggregate score.    After last year's defeat our Central Coast players were determined to reverse the outcome.    Excellent bowling was witnessed by the spectators.    Central Coast started well and were ahead on the overall scoreboard by quite a lot but Nepean clawed their way back with the end result being:

Central Coast  205 shots   Nepean 189 shots.

Central Coast won on 7 of the 10 rinks.    A great effort by all.
