2016 Past Presidents Hostess Day and Ruth Shoebridge Shield
The Ruth Shoebridge Shield and Hostess Day was held on Monday 22nd February at Gosford Bowling Club. This was a special day for our President Floss who is in her last year as President of the Central Coast Branch of the Past Presidents. The room looked beautiful, decorated in shades of lilac and pink, Floss’s favorite colours. District President Dianne Elsom attended, as did Kay White representing the Newcastle Branch. 24 teams enjoyed a game of bowls and then together with the non-bowlers all enjoyed a lovely luncheon provided by the Gosford ladies. Pres. Floss thanked all for coming and making this day a most enjoyable one.
On the same day the Ruth Shoebridge shield was held. This annual event has been played since 1996 with the winners retaining the shield for 12 months at their club. Ruth Shoebridge was a Past President of the Past Presidents Association.
