2017 NEPEAN TROPHY

The 2017 Nepean Trophy was held at Woy Woy Bowling Club on Monday 28th August.  Central Coast President Dianne welcomed Nepean President Jackie and her ladies.   She wished all players good bowling.

Ten selected teams of 4 players from each District contested this event in very cold, gusty conditions which made playing quite difficult.    They each played 18 ends with the overall winner being decided by the total aggregate score.     Nepean held an early lead, with Central Coast gradually catching up.   It was then neck and neck for a while until Central Coast players kicked into second gear and took the lead, maintaining this until the end.

The final result was Central Coast:   185 shots      Nepean:   156.

Well done to all players as it was not easy in such gusty conditions.   It was great to see the friendly rivalry between the players and the District Committees.

Nepean President Jackie reluctantly presented the trophy to Central Coast President Dianne.  It was great to see the very friendly, happy atmosphere between our two Districts.    Central Coast looks forward to meeting up with Nepean again in 12 months time in their District.
