2018 SUMMER LEAGUE
The 2018 inaugural State Summer League event culminated on 30th & 31st January 2019 with the District Post Sectional Playoffs.
Section Winners were:
Section 1: Hali Hornets: Colleen Squires, Leanne Wadwell, Robyne Cosgrove
Section 2: Ettalong Eagles: Daphne Lowe, Corrine Meti, Tracy Osborne (Reserve Vicki Young)
Section 3: Terrigal Nite Terrors: Julie Syer, Karin Wilkinson, Diane Whittaker (Reserve Carol Ross)
The draw for Post sectional play had Section 2 playing Section 3 on 30th January and then the winner of this match went on to play Section 1 who luckily had the bye, on Thursday 31st.
In a very closely fought game, requiring an extra end, Ettalong Eagles were the winners over Terrigal Nite Terrors.
On Thursday 31st Hali Hornets played Ettalong Eagles in another very exciting match with Ettalong Eagles coming out the victors.
They now proceed to the State Playoffs on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd March at Blacktown Workers Bowling Club.
Congratulations to all who played and good bowling to the Ettalong Eagles in the State playoffs.
