2019 District Triples
The 2019 State Triples at District level were held from 17th to 19th June. 55 teams contested this years event. Rounds 1 and 2 were held on Monday 17th at Umina Beach and Canton Beach in very wet conditions. This made it very hard going for the players with many interruptions because of the weather. Canton Beach managed to complete 2 rounds but play had to be stopped at Umina with only half the second round completed. This meant that those players had to finish that round on the Tuesday at Davistown RSL with the winners then playing rounds 3 and 4. A very long day for some.
On Wednesday it was off to Terrigal for the Semi-Finals and Final. Luckily for all it was mainly sunny with a cool breeze. Thanks to all the host clubs for the efforts their hospitality.
Throughout the 3 days regardless of the conditions there was great bowls played with many games only having 1 or 2 shots difference.

The winners now go on to the Region 6 Playoffs to be held at Valentine in Lake Macquarie District. Sunday 21st or Monday 22nd July. We wish them good bowling.
