2019 NEPEAN TROPHY
WINNERS CENTRAL COAST
The 2019 Nepean Trophy was played at Ettalong Bowling Club on Monday 26th August. This annual event is played between Central Coast and Nepean Districts on a home and away basis.
Ettalong President Maureen Kerr welcomed CC President Jenny Cook who in turn welcomed Nepean Vice-President Irene Pateman and the players from both districts. 18 ends were to be played by each of the 7 rinks. The winners being decided by total aggregate shots.
The weather was rather bleak and cold with showers making play difficult for the players. It was decided to reduce the ends to 15 as the weather deteriorated. The players seemed very happy about this.
In a closely fought match Central Coast won with a total score of 98 to Nepeans 89. Central Coast won on 4 rinks and Nepean on 3. Well done to all who played.
Next year Central Coast will travel to the Nepean District.
